Lots of good things, sunshine and markets and scrabble and kisses, a cool breeze and only 6 weeks till the holiday.
Misty fields and sunshine, sunshine everywhere. I watched a woman stop in the street and turn her face to the sun. It is Friday the sun is shining and tonight I have dinner in new place.
The best thing today has been sandwich spread, God it is good with its gooey, tangy lovlieness. The shame is that I know it will have to go in the bin or I will end up eating the whole jar.
Feeling very ambivalent toward the day ahead and then coming in to the office and spotting the vase on my desk stuffed with purple flowers. The bright purple and lush green makes me think of a field of wild flowers. It set me up for the day.
Giggling about how many flapjacks we were allowed and feeling sweaty so having a cold shower right before bed and letting myself air dry.

Sittng outside the oldest pub in Norwich with a pint of shandy, a cheese sarnie and some brief sunshine.

Feeling so ill and like my head was going to explode and having someone wonderful bring you decongestant and extra tissues, followed by a sleep in my own bed!
Yesterday was stressful and I didn’t sleep but this morning I got up to have my nails done and rode through an empty and peaceful Amsterdam, on the way back I watched two little jack russels play with each other and ignore their owner. Now I am all packed and ready for a weekend away. I love packing my suitcase!
Dinner out with friends in a friendly canal side cafe, then riding home in the sweaty storm air and going really fast over the humps in the road. And as an added bonus the sky turning black and the rain starting and being all safe and warm on the train with Patty Griffin playing in my ear.
Coming home on the tram and seeing 6 foot high sunflowers in a shabby garden on the boring part of my journey, I smiled like a loon and wondered if all this positive thinking was worse! but then knowing I am on my way home to a glass of wine and a curry. Then later in the evening watching Annie Hall and realising it was made the year I was born, 1975 a great vintage.
